Ways to Change Your Life
From buying new socks to moving out of the country
I could buy one of those houses in Italy for a Euro I could spring for the $200 haircut I could get up at 5 every morning and do yoga in the dark I could replace all of my socks with new ones I could go vegan (again) I could get a manicure and look put together I could buy a new planner I could surprise my husband with comedy show tickets I could join a swing dance troupe I could learn the drums and join a band I could visit Dad every day and write down his stories before he forgets them.
I could email the pitch thatβs been sitting in my Google drive I could write an essay every day and mass submit them all until I get a yes I could grow herbs from seed and put them on the kitchen windowsill like that Pinterest pic I could fix the bike and start cycling I could learn Korean I could watch the Netflix documentary on plastics detox I could bake a cake from scratch I could learn how to cook Steak au Poivre I could swear off tech and stash away my phone for a day, a week, a month.
I could go all in on Substack with a post-a-day (comment like restack) I could start watching the news again I could remove all AI from my life I could use AI to streamline my life I could become a watercolor expert and start a YouTube channel I could go to bed by 10 every night.
I could finish setting up the workshop and build all of our furniture I could buy a new sofa, the velvet green one from Wayfair thatβs perfect for reading I could read 100 books this year and become a book reviewer I could write one book this year and get ARC readers I could age gracefully I could hit the gym hit the juicing hit my stride I could screw it all and just get some botox I could try slow living cross stitch and 1,000 hours outside I could do the 100 day art challenge and the 40 days of joy challenge and the 100 days of writing challenge I could sit in the backyard under the stars and learn the constellations I could sit on the sofa and write my dreams write my hopes write the possibilities I could follow through this time.
(Inspired by this piece in Brevity)

I could aim for the stars I could sit on the ground i could just be happy where iΒ΄m at.
